The mission of the ENF is to help Elks build stronger communities. We fulfill this pledge by investing in communities where Elks live and work. We help youth develop lifelong skills, send students to college, meet the needs of today's veterans, support the charitable work of the state Elks associations, and fund projects that improve the quality of life in local Elks communities.

Elks National Foundation Program

The CIP administers Five national grant programs which are used by local Elks to aid our communities.

Community Investment Program

Beacon Grants are available to every Lodge. These grants offer Lodges an opportunity to develop an ongoing, Elks-led charitable project. The project must be something repeatable that the Lodge is committed to continuing on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. A project must be active and focus on a single community need.

Gratitude Grants must be used to support local, charitable activities such as hosting a community clean-up day, purchasing supplies for a homeless shelter, or organizing a school literacy fair.

Impact Grants are designed to set a standard of excellence in community leadership through service. Impact Grants are used by Lodges who intimately understand a problem in their community, have a unique idea about how to solve it, and who are ready with the volunteer power to get it done.

Spotlight Grants

Freedom Grant projects must focus on one of these five areas benefitting Veterans: Employment, Homelessness and housing, Military families, Health, and Educational support.

Freedom Grants

The Elks maintain a National Drug Awareness Program - the largest volunteer drug awareness program in the United States. We are very proud of our dedicated army of volunteers who freely give their time and talents to this most noble cause.

Elks Drug Awareness Program

Through the Hoop Shoot program, the Elks been developing and reinforcing grit for nearly 50 years—long before researchers and experts concluded that grit is so important for our children. The Elks Hoop Shoot is a free throw program for youth ages 8-13.

Hoop Shoot

Since 1931, the Elks National Foundation has helped students recognize their academic dreams. Each year, we award more than $3 million in college scholarships to at least 800 outstanding, service-minded high school seniors. Once you're an Elks scholar, you're family.

Scholarship

Elks pledge "So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them." The Elks National Veterans Service Commission takes that pledge one step further, and promises service to our nation's veterans and military members, with a special focus on service to those in need
