Meet Your Officers
Take a quick minute to get to know the 2025-2026 leaders in our lodge. When you see them around the Lodge, stop, say hi or ask questions if you have them.
We want to get to know all of the members!

I joined the Elks ten years ago for the social aspect, like many of us do. I quickly found out there is much more to Elkdom than the Best People On Earth, and within months I was starting my three years of service as Esquire. I held various District, State, and Grand Lodge positions before deciding to start my journey through the Officer chairs in our Lodge. I have found this to be an incredibly rewarding organization, giving back to me with more than I put in to it. I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving St. Helens Elks in the coming years.

I have been an Elk for over 4 years now and I am so happy I joined. I find new things to do and new friends every month. I enjoy volunteering at the Lodge and at multiple events throughout the year. The Lodge keeps me as busy as I want to be and I love to be busy. It has been an amazing adventure and learning experience and I look forward to many more years.

I’ve been a member of the St. Helens Elks Lodge for just under a year. My husband and I joined because we wanted to get involved in our community—but what started as a commitment to serve quickly turned into something much bigger.
By day, I run a bookkeeping business and a gutter, roof, and yard maintenance company—because who needs free time, right? When I do get a moment to breathe, you’ll find me at Cup of Tea, where I fuel my love for jasmine green tea and convince people that tea really does make everything better.
Around the lodge, I’ve volunteered at various events, and this year, I’m excited to lead new member orientation—guiding fresh faces through the ins and outs of lodge life and helping them feel at home.

Chaplain
Amy Evenson
Greetings fellow Elks! I am excited have been invited to serve the officer team as the Chaplain this year. Both my spouse, Larry Evenson, and I are new to the Elks as well as being new to the area. Participating in the St Helens Elks lodge has been a wonderful way to meet new people and engage in charitable activities in our community. We are happy to be part of such a reputable organization.

I joined the lodge just over two years ago, not long after moving to St Helens from the Portland area. I have found amazing opportunities to serve our community and have made great friends as well as expanded my network. I am also able to utilize my past and present business experience for the benefit of the lodge.

Trustee 1st Year

I joined the Elks in 2019 shortly after my wife joined. When my son was younger, I coached him in Little League and we were active in his sports, but as he's gotten older, we found there wasn't engagement in the community. We wanted to get more involved locally. We've not only done that but found friends that have become family.
We moved to St Helens in 2003 and I worked in retail management and loss prevention for 20+ years.
My wife is also very active and we both enjoy giving back as much as the fellowship.

Trustee 2nd Year
Rob Goshorn
Father of three, Grandpa to four. Retired USAF. Joined the Gateway ELKS in 2007 after listening to my oldest brother, PER x 3, current Leading Knight, Napa CA Lodge #832, telling me of all the great things the BPOE does.

Trustee 4th Year

I joined the Elks lodge in 2023 to give back to the community and the membership. I have enjoyed working on various committees and have found doing so to be very rewarding. In these efforts I have found new friendships and gratitude in being able to help others seek their goals as an Elk. I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving St. Helens Elks and our community in the future.

Trustee 5th Year
Andry Schroder
I joined the Elks lodge to be involved with our community, to be able to give back, and to try and be a positive influence. I have enjoyed my membership here and all the opportunities I have had to participate in the many activities of our lodge and the Elks. I look forward to being a Trustee, and helping the Lodge and the membership grow and get even better.
